Summary
After installing a cellular modem card on a computer, InTouch WindowMaker and/or WindowViewer appear to fail at startup. This is due to a conflict between the AT&T Communication Manager ByteMobile Acceleration Client and InTouch network services. Uninstalling the acceleration client allows the cellular card and InTouch to co-exist on a computer and still remain functional.
Procedure to uninstall Bytemobile acceleration
1. Start the AT&T Communication Manager application.
2. From the menu, select Tools… | Settings…

3. Select the Acceleration tab.

4. Press the Uninstall button.

5. The application will notify you that you must restart Windows for this change to take affect. Following a re-boot of the computer, Intouch applications should respond normally.
