DESCRIPTION

Wonderware West is seeking an experienced Regional Business Manager with a strong technical and business background in industrial process automation specific to manufacturing, oil and gas, petrochemical and petroleum refining, power generation and utilities, and water and wastewater.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
 
The ideal candidate must have extensive skills in prospecting and breaking into new accounts with a background managing medium to large strategic accounts (including forecasting, quota attainment, sales presentations, short-term, mid-term, and long-term opportunity management essential) with PLC, Hybrid, and DCS based control systems. Solutions will include software solutions for plant intelligence, human machine interfaces (HMI), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, plant historians, batch management applications, manufacturing execution systems (MES) designed for managing, controlling and improving manufacturing processes. Along with a strong technical and business knowledge, complimentary skills to understand the client's business drivers and align to company's solutions are essential. Demonstrated experience and success within a team selling approach is a must. Possess the necessary skills to negotiate issues with peers, partners, and clients using a Win/Win philosophy. Position end-to-end solutions and articulate primary vendor strategies to senior client executives are essential. Must be an aggressive self-starter with the ability to build executive relationships, align product and business strategies, and create the demand to close deals. The job requires a minimum of 5-10 years successful sales experience managing medium to large accounts in a growing technology environment.
 
PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Maintain consistent results with respect to margin and sales goals.
  • Provide strategic sales direction for Account Executives in the region with regard to campaigns and activities.
  • Provide long term strategic assistance with key identified accounts
  • Monitor and assist with internal and external sales commission splits
  • Maintain positive working relationship with vendor partners
  • Maintain positive working relationship with internal administrative staff
  • Provide consistent accurate forecasts for all Account Executives and regional totals
  • Provide marketing assistance and planning for regional events
  • Monitor and direct Account Executive and regional expenses to ensure best practices.
  • Hold regular regional meetings to provide direction and purpose for the region
  • Provide backup sales assistance as required for Account Executives
  • Assist Account Executives with time and territory management issues
  • Review weekly activities and provide report to management
  • Calls on clients within a designated geographic territory
  • Demonstrates exceptional product and designated industry knowledge
  • Selects and promotes company products/services properly for the application
  • Contributes to territory's strategic plan
  • Delivers growth in market share within sales territory
  • Must possess excellent written and oral technical presentation skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to manage tasks and priorities

Regional System Consultant - Industrial Automation - Position Closed but still accepting applications
Locations: Houston, TX
Description This position will have and maintain expertise in Wonderware's ArchestrA technology, understanding how to apply the ArchestrA technology in solutions while providing technical guidance and support as to ensure successful product implementation.  This person will:
  • Support sales account managers working with customers, OEM's and System Integration Partners to guide the best implementation of the ArchestrA technology.
  • Develop system architectures for ArchestrA based products and solutions.
  • Review technical specifications for potential customers to ensure that they conform to the capabilities of the ArchestrA based products.
  • Conduct workshops for staff and customers.
  • Leverage experience base with client managers and project teams.
  • Acts as technical lead on architectural and ArchestrA technology implementation strategy planning.
  • Provide technical/application training to sales channel, enabling them to realize the potential opportunities.
  • Provide demonstration development and presentation for tradeshows and corporate sessions.
Skill Requirements
  • A fundamental understanding of industrial automation needs.
  • A thorough understanding of computer hardware and system architectures.
  • A fundamental understanding of communications and network implementation.
  • A high level of effectiveness in human relation skills and the ability to clearly communicate.
